Deeper Engagement in a Virtual World

Maintaining a knowledgeable and vibrant association and industry community is a key association strategic priority. Our members value a place to meet, learn, network, and do business with others in the industry. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, CHPA had to pivot, moving in-person meetings and events online, while still offering high-quality educational and virtual networking opportunities. With more online programming in 2020 came an increase in participation at all levels of member companies. CHPA members were grateful that more members of their teams could take part than ever before.

CHPA has launched a new Learning Management System (LMS) which is housed in the CHPA Academy, and to help us accomplish that, we proudly assembled a group of Founding Education Partners. Catalina, Google, Grey Worldwide, IQVIA, IRI, PatientPoint, and Wiley Rein generously stepped up to help fund this project which will allow us to bring valuable education and innovative ideas to the broad CHPA membership.

CHPA Cancels 2020 Annual Executive Conference (AEC)

For the health and well-being of our members, staff, speakers, and attendees, CHPA's leadership cancelled the association’s 2020 Annual Executive Conference (AEC) originally scheduled for March 22-24 in Orlando, Florida.

CHPA Launches New Annual Self-Care Leadership Series and Summit in 2021!

While we are unable to convene at the 2021 Annual Executive Conference because of the continued concerns of COVID-19, we are pleased to introduce the first Self-Care Leadership Series (virtual) that will culminate with an in-person Summit, if possible, on June 16 in New Hope, PA. We are excited to provide the kind of relevant and timely educational programming you have come to expect from CHPA in a new, virtual/live format that will be rolled out between March and June. We recognize the need to keep our members connected, and are confident this webinar series and potential in-person June event can fill that need in a safe way, and with a fresh, new format and name.

Please note that this schedule is subject to change. Contact Beth Allgaier at with questions.

Virtual Regulatory, Scientific and Quality Conference (RSQ)

With the restrictions in place due to Covid-19, CHPA leadership, in consultation with members and FDA, made the decision to take our 2020 Regulatory, Scientific & Quality Conference VIRTUAL for the first time!

In September, we welcomed record breaking attendance, featured 82 Speakers, and hosted 39 General Sessions & Breakouts, 23 OnDemand Sessions (four committee Chair Reports, one FDA Update, and 18 Dietary Supplements Sessions), and 20 Small Group Networking Opportunities.

The CHPA Women’s Leadership Forum (WLF) is pleased to share its new logo! In alignment with CHPA’s rebranding initiative, this intentional, multi-color image represents the group’s diverse, inclusive perspective.

In its second year, WLF provided educational, networking, and relationship-building opportunities for CHPA members. CHPA hosted five WLF virtual programs, helping deliver timely topics, including “After Hours” events, allowing attendees the time to connect both personally and professionally. Meeting the emerging challenges of 2020, the group addressed and discussed critical topics like adaptive leadership and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Thank you to our 2020 co-chairs (pictured left to right) Lisa Paley and Terri Goldstein for your vision and leadership during this challenging year.
